This gives you wide exposure and further opportunities for interaction with colleagues without separate registration fees. You just register with one of multiple options at ISMB, specifying\u00a0<strong>CAMDA<\/strong>\u00a0as your interest.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>CAMDA<\/strong>&nbsp;focuses on one of the grand challenges of our time, the intelligent exploitation of&nbsp;<strong>Big Data<\/strong>&nbsp;in the life sciences. In the post-genomic era, an effective scientific interpretation of large datasets is key to new medical and biological insights from novel high throughput assays and the increasing size of biomedical studies.&nbsp;<strong>CAMDA<\/strong>&nbsp;puts a spotlight on the successful analysis and integration of the massive data sets now prevalent in the life sciences.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>This year, recognizing the recent events, the scientific committee of&nbsp;<strong>CAMDA<\/strong>&nbsp;has set the following&nbsp;<strong><a href=\"http:\/\/camda2023.bioinf.jku.at\/contest_dataset\" class=\"broken_link\">data analysis contest<\/a><\/strong>&nbsp;challenges:<\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul><li>The&nbsp;<strong><a href=\"http:\/\/camda2023.bioinf.jku.at\/contest_dataset#artifical_clinical_health_records\" class=\"broken_link\">Synthetic Clinical Health Records Challenge<\/a><\/strong>&nbsp;provides a rich set of highly realistic Electronic Health Records (EHR) tracing the diagnosis trajectories of diabetic patients, created with dual-adversarial auto-encoders trained on data from 1.2 million real patients in the&nbsp;<a href=\"https:\/\/www.sspa.juntadeandalucia.es\/servicioandaluzdesalud\/profesionales\/sistemas-de-informacion\/base-poblacional-de-salud\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">Population Health Database<\/a>&nbsp;of the Andalusian Ministry of Health. Predict relevant diabetes endpoints like blindness or cardiopathy from past diagnosis trajectories!<\/li><li>The&nbsp;<strong><a href=\"http:\/\/camda2023.bioinf.jku.at\/contest_dataset#anti-microbial_resistance_prediction_and_forensics\" class=\"broken_link\">Anti-Microbial Resistance Prediction and Forensics Challenge<\/a><\/strong>&nbsp;features both resistance profiles of clinical isolates as well as environmental meta-genomics sequences. Predict resistant bacteria and identify resistance genes to track emerging resistance in urban and non-urban locations!<\/li><\/ul>\n\n\n\n<p>Leading scientists present their best methods and analyses in talks, complemented by poster sessions.&nbsp;<strong>Papers<\/strong>based on the&nbsp;<a href=\"http:\/\/camda2023.bioinf.jku.at\/call_for_papers\" class=\"broken_link\">submitted<\/a>&nbsp;extended abstracts enter a&nbsp;<strong>fast track<\/strong>&nbsp;for publication in the open access, fully indexed conference proceedings at&nbsp;<em><a href=\"https:\/\/www.frontiersin.org\/journals\/genetics\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">Frontiers in Genetics<\/a><\/em>. Related method papers can enter the ISMB proceedings track of the&nbsp;<em><a href=\"https:\/\/academic.oup.com\/bioinformatics\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\" class=\"broken_link\">Bioinformatics<\/a><\/em>&nbsp;journal.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>All delegates vote for the best-contributed analysis.
