This gives you wide exposure and further opportunities for interaction with colleagues without separate registration fees. You just register with one of multiple options at ISMB, specifying <strong>CAMDA<\/strong> as your interest.<\/p><p><strong>CAMDA<\/strong> focuses on one of the grand challenges of our time, the intelligent exploitation of <strong>Big Data <\/strong>in the life sciences. In the post-genomic era, an effective scientific interpretation of large datasets is key to new medical and biological insights from novel high throughput assays and the increasing size of biomedical studies.<br \/><strong>CAMDA<\/strong> puts a spotlight on the successful analysis and integration of the massive data sets now prevalent in the life sciences.<\/p><p>This year, recognizing the recent events, the scientific committee of <strong>CAMDA<\/strong> has set the following <a href=\"https:\/\/bipress.boku.ac.at\/camda-play\/the-camda-contest-challenges\/\"><strong>data analysis contest<\/strong><\/a> challenges:<\/p><ul style=\"text-align: start;\"><li><span style=\"font-weight: bold;\">The <a href=\"https:\/\/bipress.boku.ac.at\/camda-play\/the-camda-contest-challenges\/#synthetic-health-records\">Synthetic Clinical Health Records<\/a><\/span>\u00a0<strong>Challenge<\/strong> provides a rich set of highly realistic Electronic Health Records (EHR) tracing the diagnosis trajectories of diabetic patients, created with dual-adversarial auto-encoders trained on data from 1.2 million real patients in the Population Health Database of the Andalusian Ministry of Health. Predict relevant diabetes endpoints like blindness or cardiopathy from past diagnosis trajectories!<\/li><li><strong>The<\/strong>\u00a0<a href=\"https:\/\/bipress.boku.ac.at\/camda-play\/the-camda-contest-challenges\/#amr\"><strong>Anti-Microbial Resistance\u00a0Prediction<\/strong><\/a>\u00a0<strong>Challenge<\/strong>\u00a0<span style=\"color: var( --e-global-color-text );\">features clinical isolates sequences. Predict resistance genes\/markers and identify resistant bacteria!<\/span><\/li><li><p style=\"margin-top: 0pt; margin-bottom: 10pt; border: none;\"><span style=\"font-weight: bold;\">The <\/span><a href=\"https:\/\/bipress.boku.ac.at\/camda-play\/the-camda-contest-challenges\/#gut-microbiome\"><span style=\"font-weight: bold;\">Gut Microbiome based Health Index <\/span><\/a><strong>Challenge<\/strong>\u00a0features hundreds of WMS based taxonomic and functional profiles of healthy and unhealthy individuals. Take advantage of\u00a0<i>the Theater of Activity<\/i>\u00a0concept and compete already existing taxonomy based metrics!<\/p><\/li><\/ul><p>Leading scientists present their best methods and analyses in talks, complemented by poster sessions. <strong>Papers<\/strong> based on the <a title=\"call_for_papers\" href=\"..\/call-for-contributions\/\" class=\"broken_link\">submitted<\/a> extended abstracts enter a <strong>fast track<\/strong> for publication in the open access, fully indexed conference proceedings at <em><a title=\"https:\/\/www.frontiersin.org\/journals\/genetics\" href=\"https:\/\/www.frontiersin.org\/journals\/genetics\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"nofollow noopener\">Frontiers in Genetics<\/a><\/em>.<\/p><p>Related method papers can enter the ISMB proceedings track of the <em><a title=\"http:\/\/bioinformatics.oxfordjournals.org\/\" href=\"http:\/\/bioinformatics.oxfordjournals.org\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"nofollow noopener\" class=\"broken_link\">Bioinformatics<\/a><\/em> journal.<\/p><p>All delegates vote for the best-contributed analysis.
